Expanded form addition is one of the easier addition algorithms to understand. For this algorithm, we have to start by writing each number in expanded form (hence the name). After that, we can add the numbers with the same place value (i.e., add the ones, add the tens, etc.). From there, we just have to finish the addition to get the final result.
