Density Curves

Normal Distributions

This topic looks at the basic ideas of density curves. While it does address general density curves, it also looks specifically at the uniform distribution. It shows how to use the uniform distribution to determine different probabilities. It also introduces the Normal Distribution. We look at how the normal distribution is defined using only the mean and standard deviation, and how each of these numbers impact the curve. We also look at how to use the Empirical Rule to estimate probabilities.
