Choosing a Sample

Random Sampling Methods

Non-Random Sampling Methods

This topic looks at different ways to randomly and non-randomly select a sample. For random sampling, we look at how to choose a sample using simple random sampling, cluster sampling, stratified sampling, and systematic sampling. For non-random sampling, we look at how to choose a sample using simple convenience sampling, volunteer sampling, snowball sampling, and judgemental sampling. We also look at different situations in which each of these methods is preferred. .
